I use 1 to 1 1/2 inches of 85 degree water in a closed sterilite tub no holes.
I also place a hand towel in the bottom and if the shed is really bad I place a 1/2 log hid in the tub for the snake to sit on and rub against.
After 30 minutes I replenish with more 85 degree water and if the shed isn't off I do it again.
Two 30 minute soaks and almost any bad shed will slide right off.

After refilling the tub a second time I noticed after 10 mins that it was too deep and she was having a hard time staying afloat. I pulled her out, dried her and now she is resting in her hide. Is there any possible harm I could have done?

Probably not but that's why she wasn't digging it. I really just do soaks in the Bath tub. They don't happen that often but I'll sit there with them and I only keep them in for 10-15 min and them run them through a wet towel. That way I can make sure they aren't having issues. Only fill the tub up to around half way up their body. Then they don't feel like they have to swim. Which is stressful.

First round the water level was good, I over filled it the second time around accidentally. I'm going to let her rest for now and give it another shot in a day or two.

That's what I did but almost nothing came off. I ended up using my fingers to gently peel it back.

So the shed on her head and about an inch back is not coming off, I'm going to try the pillow case. How long should I keep her in the case?

Sorry for the triple post but the pillow case worked like a charm!
Head and eye caps came off perfectly.
I had her in there for about 40 minutes if anyone was wondering.
