I just recently got my first amazon tree boa, and I absolutely love her. They're great because they vary so much in color and pattern, and it's tough to say what your hatchling will look like as an adult because they go through such radical changes. Some people may not like this, but I think it's what makes them fascinating.
They're not really handling snakes, though, as they are pretty tough to get out of their cages. I just recently made a pvc perch that can easily be taken out so hopefully this will make it easier to get her out. Hope this helps your decision making!
