My big girl ate her first f/t

I fed my big girl today, she is a 4foot 1800 gram normal, only ever ate live that I know of. I have always in the past 5 months that I have had her she has only had live rats. never missed a meal cept for when she was about to go into shed this last time. well due to cost of Frozen medium rats compared to live I wanted to get her onto F/T. First try she took. I had her in her feed box. I used the tongs on the rat. and she took it. She didn't constrict it though she just took it and ate it. I was moving it around the box with the tongs she sniffed it a bit looked up at me (as if to say stupid I know its dead just drop it and I will eat it) and with out strike it she opened her mouth and took hold. I did a video once I get it edited I will post it once its on Youtube.

I am such a proud daddy!!!

Yay!! I still haven't been able to switch Jackson. He eats the live ones within minutes, but the dead ones- even freshly killed- soooo not interested. So with that experience, I would say WIN for you!!!!

Congrats! I'm hoping to switch mine over too, costs of feeders where I live are ridiculous!

Congrats. It's such a good feeling. I do believe you are going to like feeding f/t a lot better. I hope she continues without any problems
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.
