    The waiting rule always seemed to be overkill to me. I've fed snakes the same night I brought them home from shows, or pulled them out of shipping boxes. I don't handle them a lot, but it won't hurt to take them out and check them out a bit. They also won't immediately projectile vomit if you take them out after eating...granted you can't take them out and run around your house with them, but I've taken them out the next morning after feeding, handled them a bit and put them back with no ill effects. They're not as delicate and dainty as they're made out to be...
