my bp always stays in the cooler hide

So my pastel for the past week and a half is always in the cooler side hide. I would sometimes take him out and play with him for a little and when i put him back i would put him on the hot side and he would go in the hot side hide. When i would go check on him 10 minutes later he would be in the cool side hide. Could something be wrong? or is he just thermo regulating his temp?

mine does the same thing. i think mine does it because when i got him the temps were always running a little cool for a month or so before i got my husbandry right. now that ive got a temp gradient and everything, he stays in the cool side even after eating but ill catch him on the hot side like once a day for a couple min. give it time and youll see him there.

My ball pythons spend a majority of their time in the cool side hides excpet for after I feed them. This is not really something to worry about.
