    Unstable temperatures during incubation (more than 1 degree F) can cause irregularities in development.

    This can adversely affect the health of offspring, but it also can simply cause color or pattern irregularities.

    I do not believe that incubation temperature can be correlated with the creation of a new genetic morph.
