Some Axanthic Questions

I want to breed my axanthic female to my killer bee male. What percent of the eggs would be axanthic killer bees? I understand the whole putnam square, but when it comes to the recessive genes I get a little confused!

Or what are the odds of an axanthic pastel, if I cross my axanthic female with my pastel male?

What would you mate my axanthic female with??

If you breed your visual axanthic with a snake all babies will be 100% het. Then u will have to breed the snakes again to get a visual morph

None of the babies would be axanthic, and none would be killer bees. They would all be pastels, spiders, or bumble bees....and all would be HET for axanthic.

If you crossed the axanthic with the pastel, all the babies would be either pastel or normal, and all HET for axanthic.

If you want to produce visual axanthics in the first generation, then you need to mate her with an animal that is also axanthic, or is het for axanthic.

You will only make at best bumblebee het axanthic. Homozygous traits (axanthic and super pastel) can only pass one gene onto the offspring. so together the parents will pass one axanthic and one pastel gene to the offspring. Spider how ever is heterozygous and will statistically pass the trait 50% of the time.

To make a homozygous animal (like axanthic or super pastel) both parents at the very least need to be heterozygous for the trait. so to make a killer bee axanthic, you need to breed at the very least a bumblebee het axanthic to a pastel het axanthic.

My bad...typing too fast without thinking. All the babies would be pastels or bumble bees...all het axanthic, of course.
