Bump on neck???
Since the 48 hrs after I fed her is up, I took her out to notice an odd bump on her neck.... I don't know if it's bugging her or no, I don't know how to tell that. In her cage she just curls up and sleeps in her hide like normal. I may just be a little paranoid, but I want to make sure she's fine.
I have some pictures and I circled where the bump is.
Just so you know, she eats live mice(she's had 3 meals with me for 5 total) and they've never bitten her. I make sure if she strikes oddly(which she seems to keep hitting the stomach/side, so I'll put a wooden skewer in the mouse's mouth if I can reach it(sometimes she coils over the mouse's head). It's never bitten her though.,
Anyway, here are the pics:

Re: Bump on neck???
Hi,
What does it look like when you are looking at it straight onto the bump?
Is there one mark in the area or two?

Not too sure what you mean by 'mark', but I only see one bump when looking straight down at it

Oh straight on it, like right at it? I think you mean.... LEt me go look at her once more. XD
Edit: I don't really see any marks, but there's only really one raised spot, so, I guess the answer would be one.

Re: Bump on neck???
Is it soft or hard? When you run your finger over it does it basically disappear with no resistance, or is it sort of firm, like it's swollen? Does she seem like it hurts her to touch it?
I had this exact thing happen to one of my males and it freaked me out, but turned out to be nothing. His shed was a little stuck to him at his neck and I assume that it had pulled on the skin underneath the scale and became swollen for a couple of days. If it doesn't seem to be hurting her, I wouldn't worry about it.

It does seem firm.... She doesn't seem to enjoy me touching her there, but when I touched her other side too and a couple other parts on her neck area, she acted the same way, like it tickled or felt odd or something. So she's not acting like it's hurting her. She's acting normal for when I touch her neck.
And she hasn't shed yet, but she looks like she might anytime, though I still have yet to see her go into blue.
I won't be able to keep an eye on it the next few days, except early in the morning or at night since I'll be gone all day the next few days
