purple dot?
this is my second BP i just got her 1 months ago, she is 2 months old
she has had it the entire time;
a small purple dot equidistant between her two most prominent front teeth on her gums. no discoloration anywhere else, no other symptoms.
i tried diluted peroxide every other day for a week. no result.
i went to the vet, he said its nothing. not mouthrot or anything. but i am concerned.
help?

Re: purple dot?
I don't think I've ever looked that close at my snakes' gums.
I'd be more worried about peroxide in the mouth than a little spot of pigment on the gums. Especially if a vet says its nothing. I understand vets are not infallible creatures, but if they're going to err, it's almost always erring toward over-treatment rather than no treatment.
Best thing for the snake at this point, I believe, is to be left alone and given a chance to settle into her new home without being poked and prodded and medicated. I'm 99.999% sure that spot is nothing to worry about and I'd be more concerned about stress.

It's a dot. Nothing more nothing Less. Don't try to fix what isn't broken. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
