Smile Juvi BP Body/Muscles Feels Very Soft When Held??

Hi Guys, I have noticed the last couple of times i have taken Peanut out to hold her (my 1st 5 month old BP) that her body feels soft and squidgy to my touch. Is this a natural occurrence as they grow up? I am feeding her a rat pup every 4/5 days? She is extremely active and has 2 speeds.. tucked up in a hide with a full belly or cruising round her tank looking for food or some way to get in to trouble lol! She was underfed when i got her and so rat pups were 1.5 times the size of her thickest part. Plan to move up a size on her next feed. Have any of you had the same experience with a royal’s body going soft? All temps and humidity are constant and correct and she seems happy in herself.

Give her some more time. I got some snakes off a breeder for DIRT CHEAP, but they hadn't been fed in months - they weren't being housed properly. They were malnourished and dehydrated. It sucks, but they come around at their own pace. Sounds to me its more like dehydration. All of my snakes were dehydrated, just make sure they have lots of water and change it everyday.

    cheers

That makes sense as she was dehydrated when i got her.. loose baggy skin. Have been putting reptiboost (electrolytes) in her water. Guess it's going to take a bit of time to turn her around.. she was looking sorry for herself when i got her, poor thing
