I would either get a power converter for my car and run the incubator off that for an hour, two or three times a day. Or buy a generator. As far as cutting them, I wouldn't cut unless I knew for sure I was able to maintain proper temps. I think (without any kind of proof) that eggs have some built in protection maybe not alot but liquid does take longer to cool down then air does. just my opinion on that, good luck though I really hope out works out for you
