The threat posture thread
Post up your favorite threat postures your T's have given you. If you have other types of Inverts like scorpions, post those too. I'll start it off:
Boehmei. I've posted it already, but why not again:

Versi that threw one up the other day at my wife:

Much better than the Boehmei. The fangs are spread a little and everything.

Oy vey! I'm working hard to get over my queasiness about spiders, but even just pictures of those postures give me the heebie jeebies! Very impressive photos, though!

Thanks. My wife is the photographer. I have to give her the credit on all of the pics we have.
Whenever our spiders even look as if they are going to throw one of those up it turns into one of those "oh how cute!" moments for my wife. Which I find funny because one of these days, she's going to get tagged.

I'm the same way with a snake's threat posture.
My husband thinks I'm crazy. "You're afraid of a little bug, but you're not afraid of snakes?!?"

Hahaha I've only ever gotten one threat posture, and that was from my 2" Thrixopelma ockerti. While I was rehousing her, she turned around and tried to bite the paint brush I was prodding her with, then proceeded to throw up a threat posture and turn around in circles as if to say "COME AT ME, I DARE YOU!" it was adorable because she's so tiny unfortunately I didn't get any pictures though

And that is why my female pastel became my wife's, lol. Little bugger has tagged me twice already. The wife uses the same trick with her as she does with spiders, touches her with a paintbrush first, then picks her up. I just cover her with a piece of cloth now. The biggest hing is to not be afraid. With spiders, especially most species, easier said than done sometimes.

lol! Our Versi has tagged the paintbrush and the needle nose pliers. Without warning. The threat posture was the first time we were able to get a good look at her underside. It's looking very "girly".
Hope you do get some pics. They are cool to look at.

Yup!
I'm afraid of "little bugs" too. I avoid any contact with my spiders at all cost. Yes, I've held them before, just so I could say I have. Thats good enough for me. I'll gladly take my chances with an extremely ticked off 7ft carpet python or amazon tree boa before I'll play with a 2" G. rosea or Avic.

Haha I'm the same way. I'm more than willing to pick up a mad ATB before I even think about spiders.

Here is a pic of our mature P. Irminia. We moved it's hide to see if it was doing alright since we hadn't seen her in a month.
