What are the best 'must-have' bp's for a beginner collection?

Being new to the world of BP's, I know what I visually like. Those are the ones on my wish list, and the one's I'll need to either save for years to get or win the lottery to purchase, ! Right now I'm just building my collection and starting with mostly het's so I can hobby breed in a few years to get what the morphs I want or like. Mind you, I'm doing it because I absolutely love BP's and want to build up my own collection, not because I want to make money.

So that being said, what does everyone feel are some 'must-have's' for a beginner collection? Again, I know it's all opinion, but I'd really like some experienced opinions, rather than just my own opinions.

Re: What are the best 'must-have' bp's for a beginner collection?

I'm still pretty new to the BP thing, but other than a normal, I think a bumblebee and a lesser are really good starter morphs. One bee and one normal can get you normals, pastels, spiders, more bee's, and from there you can get super pastels, killerbees. With the lesser you can get queenbees. They aren't the cheapest morphs you can buy, but I think that what you can get from a bee and lesser are worth the money.

To me must have in co-dom are Enchi, Mojave and Lesser, in Dominant I will say Spider and Pinstripe and in Recessive Pied and Hypo.

You have all of those and you can work on some fantastic combos.

Depends on Your funds... From Codom what She ^^^ said plus cinnamon/black pastel and pastel (best in super form) and no collection can go without Yellowbelly.... From Dom... I'm not big fan of Spiders but Pinstripe is must have for me... If You can put Your hand on genetic granite and proven genetic reduced pattern that worthy exploit too.... as recessive goes What She ^^^ said

If your intentions are to build your personal collection and to not sell or make money then it's simple. Get what you like and can afford. If your intentions are to breed and sell then still work with what you like but stay in the codoms. All the recommendations above are good ones. Some of my personal favorites are lessers, black pastels, pinstripes, YBs, and pieds (recessive but a must have).
