    heat meters

    Which one of these should i buy from home depot to check hot spot temps

    And is a 90 watt bulb too hot for a hot spot?

    If you are just wanting to be able to quickly check rather than monitor long term to spot changes then I would probably buy soemthing similar to either of these;

    If you want the long term probably something with a probe on a cord like this;

    But to be honest you will get them cheaper online from ebay, reptile sites or similar. Also you might be able to get the one that can read two temps and also humidity.

    You mean other than one of those Weber charcoal grills (hey they're on the list)?

    Rather than a bulb, I would look into using heat tape/UTH, or a radiant heat panel.
    What are you housing?
