Oh my here I go again!!

Ok I took Beaux to the vet last week. Vet said everything was great he just needs some weight, and he was starting his shed.
Ok so the eyes turned hazy, skin is dull. Now the eyes are clear, with a dent, but there is no shed yet. He is popping when he opens his mouth. I can watch him breath and do not hear the sound, I can open his mouth and it is clean, NO bubbles or saliva. Is the popping part of the shed, or should I order the mister and F10 and nebulize him. He has not eaten in 1 1/2 weeks, but that may be due to shed. Temps are great, I even have them a bit high, per the vets advise.
High tems are 92 and low are 88 with 52% humidity.

If he's in shed the humidity should be closer to 70%

Hi,

the dent in the eyes can be caused by him getting in to shed. It takes about 2-5 days when the eyes clear to actually shedding. My female always takes about 6 days after blue to actually shed (wich is really strange but she is a good shedder). But i would recommend to get ur humidity a bit higher. 50% is a bit low. They need at least 70-80 to get there skin off. If u have problems with getting the humidity in the tub to that percentage u can always provide a humidity hide (with some sphagnum moss or so).

As for the popping sound, the same female i've talked about before does that same thing.. I sometimes hear her do a poping sound from her mouth wich i dont hear with my other snakes. But as far as i know she isn't sick at all. You can know the RI from bubbles at his mouth and slimy stuff from sneezing. If you see any of those things its possible he has an RI, otherwise i wouldn't worry about it...

Indeed the not eating may be caused by the shedding cycle. Just keep a really close eye on him...

Btw: are you keeping him in a terrarium or a tub? and what do u use to get the heat up (heatmath/ lamps/....)?

What about the popping sound?
I am trying my hardest to get the humidity up.
We have a 40 gallon, with the back, bottom and both side covered in foam board. The screen top is mostly covered with tin foal, over that is foam board. I have a Zoo med uth and a Reptial basics UTH with a 60 watt heat lamp. I have finally got the temps high enough, they where never really low, just stable now.

I am just worried about the clicking.

Your heat lamp is most likely killing your humidity. Keep your water dish near or over the heat source and/or try a damp cloth on the top of the enclosure; this should help.

glass tanks are a bit hard for humidity (im talking from experience).
A water bowl with a larger surface can help. it will make the water evaporate more quickly and gets the humidity up. Or if u can make a hide with some sphangum moss (u can get it at a reptile store or so), even if u really want it now u can use a damp handkerchief or some like that in a hide so it raises the humidity in there,, it will help him
