Red Eyed Champagne - Male
The one in the middle...
Here without the top on... again he's the one in the middle...
Pics don't show his color well, but in natural light he is kinda v e r y light greyish beige.

Cool looking Champagne.
Champagnes are caused by the Pink Eyed Dilution though. It's hard to see the eyes in the pic, but are they a lighter bright red (Pink Eyed) or darker red, almost maroon (Red Eyed)?

When I was trying to find out what he was, I did a lot of research, cause everyone kept telling me he was an albino or PEW. But I could tell by his color that he wasn't and his eyes are NOT pink. They are kind of half way between pink and ruby... so red. That is one key factor. He is also best described as very light beige, so light that he almost looks white. But he actually has a couple of white markings on him as well. He has a spot between his eyes and a large mark down his back.

If the eyes are red then it's not a champagne because champagne is pink eyed.
Better pics of the coat showing it's true color and or eye pictures?

I'll try. I was trying to get it to show up better in the earlier pics, maybe it's my camera?! Will Have to do it in the morning though...

Just found this description of Champagne:
http://fancyrats.pbworks.com/w/page/8715181/Champagne
By AFRMA standards the eyes should be red. And the others all say pink... so which is it. That is probably the description I read and therefore think I have a champagne. Now I am just confused.

I have played with the Champagne gene and never gotten a rat with red eyes. They always were pink eyed. HOWEVER - there is such thing as a dark eyed champagne.
Dark-eyed Champagne aa B-C-D-G-mm P-rr
It may be that this rat is a very light beige or a poor eyed champagne. Rats can have many different shades of eyes. The only way to tell would be to take apart it's lineage.
