I know what you mean. They are currently forecasting a direct hit here in MHC so I will probably be heading to Raleigh tomorrow afternoon. My plan is to just load all of my snakes tubs into my SUV, which has tinted windows around the back. Once I reach the hotel I will hang a sheet up to shield any potential sunlight from shining through, and I will put water bowls in the tubs. Since they are forecasting the temps to be between 75-85 for the next couple of days, I will just periodoically check on them throughout the day to make sure it isn't getting too warm. Oh, and I am skipping their scheduled feeding today. Hopefully there won't be any trees on my house or standing water in it when I get back on Sunday.Originally Posted by thewesterngate
This is a good read, especially because Irene is supposed to track right over my part of NC.Last time we had a big hurricane, six feet of flood water wiped out our downtown area. I can keep my snake room at ~80F during the day and 75 at night, so hopefully everyone will be fine if we lose power. Wish us all luck on the east coast!
