Rescued ball python/feeding question
For those that didn't see the thread on my rescue ball python. read it please
This may help to answer my question. The day I brought home, of course you could tell it hasn't eaten in awhile, I was going to wait a week or so before I fed it. However it bit the pet store employee, so he told me to go ahead and try to feed it. so I did. It ate two thawed mice. I am feeding it the mice for now because they are being provided to me for free. It is at the size it could be eating small rats. how ever because of it being so under wait I am waiting before I try the rats. Would it be safe to feed it on a 5 day schedule or should I wait seven days.
Now it did poop and I took the fecal matter yesterday to get checked (per vet request) and today it came back clear, however she does want to do a blood sample.

Five day schedule is good, just take it slow and dont over do it till it is up to size.

Agreed, stick with 2 mice (because they are free) every 5 days. He will let you when you need to go to every week or until you step up to rats.
