I was told on here that rats would be a better choice to help Igbo gain his weight. We did two hopper mice at the last feeding and was recommend by both feed stores. He is only about 24 inches long, some where between 2-3years old and terribly skinny, and incredibly tiny for his age. I still have not got a scale yet to check his weight, that one is next on our list. He is really starting to come around, looks really good except his weight.
Oh back to the question, switching over to rats what would be good size rat to start with? He is pretty small, the two hoppers seemed very appropriate to for a single meal. Need to go out and get some meals today, and wanted to double check with you all.
Oh and thank you soooooo much for all the easily accessed info on this site. Getting his temps and humidity right, made such a huge difference in how he came to us. He is more alert and curious during handling, and not so lethargic. Seemed very smug after his big turd log he left for us yesterday, only time I had seen him peeking his head out of his hide was watching me clean it up. I know simple animals, but he truly does seem to feel better.
