    Bad snake !!

IS THERE AWAY TO CHANGE HIS ATTITUDE OR IS THIS THE WAY HES GOING TO BE!

Okay so I have a new BP he's about 2200 grams "Big Boy" which i have only had for 2 week now and he has eatn two meals so far in one week he is a rat pounder

But my problem with him is he is so aggresive every time i get near him or try picking him up he Strikes, So ive heard once you get the snake up and handle him they generally calm down!
"This is what ive heard" well this aint the case if I get him to where hes in my hands he is now more aggresive and repeadily strikes trying to get my face or arm. This snake makes me sweat

O and did i happen to mention the name he recieved due to his attitude - "LD" Little [Dingdong]

Its like this snake came straight out of the wild

    Re: Bad snake !!

Maybe give him more time to settle in? Other than feeding, watering, and cleaning as necessary, try not to bother him for a good month or so. Maybe he expresses his stress differently than most ball pythons, and once he settles in and feels truly secure, he won't be so bitey.

But...be prepared to accept him as he is. Enjoy him for being a feisty character, or make arrangements to find him a good home if you can't handle an aggressive snake. (No shame in that...such animals are not for everyone!)

You've only had him two weeks, that's hardly any time at all.

He is an adult, so he may or may not calm down, but my best suggestions are to work with him and give him time.

I named my blood python 'sweetheart' because of all the snake kisses she's tried to give me.. but she has since actually grown into her name and become the calmest snake in my collection.

My male is the worst behaved snake I have. He just strikes at me repeatedly, and for no reason. You might just have a meanie like mine.
