I also agree that she looks pretty good. More pics might help if you still think she's a bit skinny, but from this photo, she appears fine. Nice pattern and definitly a hypo.
I guess we all have different ways of determining whether a snake is "hypo" or not, but understanding what "hypo" means will help in determining whether a boa is or isn't "hypo". Hypo = hypomelanistic. This is a reduction of black pigment (not an absence of black - that would be albino). The lower levels of melanin (black pigment) gives the boa that nice pinkish color. "Salmon" refers to a specific line of hypomelanistic boas. Many hypo boas will have the "bow-tie" pattern with their saddles, but that is not exclusive to hypos nor does every hypo show that. You can have aberant pattern hypos, hypo jungles, reverse stripe hypos, etc that all have different saddle patterns. Flecking or speckling can and often does appear on hypos - only the "super hypos" will have that truly clear pink coloration.
Since hypomelanism is genetic, a hypo is referred to as a morph in boas. Yours is a hypo, but as far as what "type" or "locality" it is, that's very difficult if not impossible to tell from pictures. She is not a BCC as you aren't likely to find morphs with them (most people try to breed the BCCs true since they are the TRUE Red Tail Boas) so it's safe to say she's a BCI and most likely a common Columbian boa since, obviously, they are the most common. But again, it's hard to tell for sure. She is a very pretty snake though and a great pickup from craigs list!![]()
