Ive found "The Complete Ball Python" by Kevin McCurley of NERD very helpful.
It can be bought on Amazon for about $60.
    I would reccomend it.

As far as books go you can not go wrong with either of the two that have already been mentioned. I also found this page written by Markus Jayne to be very helpful as well. I hope this helps.

I too found Kevin McCurley's The Complete Ball Python to be very easy to understand. I'm always looking for more books on ball pythons so I'll keep an eye on this thread. I was wondering if anyone has read Designer-Morphs, Volume One by John Berry and if that would be worth getting a copy of.

Re: the very best book on ball breeding is?????

    Hi,

John Berry's book has some great eye candy pictures in it and I enjoy it for that reason.

It isn't focused on care or breeding regimes or anything husbandry related though. It's purely morph recipies and such.

Also bear in mind I think NERD are producing a similar book towards the end of the year. I will be buying that when it comes out as well.

No book can ever be as current as a website but I personally like having access to both.

x2 I love both books, but I use Berry's as more of a wish list/guide of morphs. Kevin's book is excellent, and I plan to get the VPI one as well. It doesn't hurt to research as many references as possible, since everyone's practices and animals vary, including my own!

Just got the VPI book in the mail and had Kevin's book already. Both are great books but I have to say that the VPI book covers breeding in much greater detail.
