My little one spends 80% of her time hanging out on her branch. She'll go to her warm hide once in a while to warm up, but other than that, she's on her branch in the same spot. She's very active when she comes out to play, but in her enclosure, she's very sedintary.
If your baby is otherwise active when you take him out and he's eating regularly, he should be just fine!
