RI, is there a home remedy or only the vet can cure him?

I have a friend, he reported to me that's his BP has bubbles in the mouth and is also about to shed, no doubt this is RI, what should he do? There are only a few vets here who take care of reptiles.. In fact there is only one that we know of.

So should he take him to the vet or is there some medication that he can administer himself?

I would def take to the vet.

There's a Snakebytes episode that covers this topic...it's called Down with the Sickness or something like that. He could try the method they discuss in that episode and if the snake worsens or more symptoms appear make a trip to the vet. Though, personally, at the bubble point I'd take my snake to the vet.

If it is at the stage of bubbles in the mouth, he needs to take it to the vet.

I agree with the majority, the snake is much better off in the hands of an exotics veterinarian. They can administer antibiotics that just aren't available in stores.
