Humidifier

I am curious as to what humidifiers people are using in their reptile rooms. More specifically for those who have dedicated reptile rooms and need to keep the humidity up. I Have a room that I seem to struggle to keep the humidity high enough so I end up with stuck sheds more often than I would prefer. I basically only keep ball pythons. I currently have a small humidifier that has to run constantly to try to get the humidity high enough. I use a small electric space heater that is attached to a thermostat so the temperatures stay where I would like. Right now I am running 90 in the day and 85 at night. Let me know if you have any suggestions to help me out.

When you see they are about to shed mist the cage regulary. After they clear up from being opaque you can even tip the water bowel to help with the shed. You can also try aspen or cypress or add a bigger water bowel. Also, your running at 90 as your ambient temps?

Do you have a rack system? If so, what kind of tubs do you use? Making sure you have just enough air vents in the tub plays a big part in proper humidity, I've found. Anyway, I would just measure your room and hit Google.

I would highly recommend Venta Airwashers. They are pricey but work great and there are no filters which tend to be bacteria traps.

We have a couple different racks. Our main is an ARS. It's the best you can get. It's ther medium python rack. Right now I am keeping my ambient temps that high. come breeding season that will drop to around 80-83.

I prefer to have lots of air circulation so a humidifier helps a lot. I have a germgardian ultrasonic one that works really well (they need to be cleaned but all U/S ones do or they grow unwanted bacteria.) In the summer it is at the lowest setting and winter the highest fall and spring I adjust every few days as needed. I keep the room at 55% give or take and that leaves the enclosures at 60-65% typically no misting or any concerns I'll mist one time when a snake enters shed but that is it. It is very easy.
