If it's 6ft, I'm guessing it's a Burmese. It's a shame they would be keeping it in a 20gal. Contact them and ask for a photo. Politely explain that they might be mistaken about the species because ball pythons stay about 4ft and you're guessing they have a Burmese or even a boa. See what they say. If over fed, it is possible for a burm to reach 6ft in 2 years.

Or they might just be greatly exaggerating it's size.

Is it for sure a BP? If so then it may be a female. Unless they are wrong about the age. A 2 1/2 yr old BP at that size?

I wouldn't do it unless it was a female. Popping at that age/size might be impossible so without probes you'd never know. We can't save them all. Even $60 is too much for a normal. I don't know.. If you do break down and go see it, just be sure you don't bring it home without a good inspection and a plan to keep it away from your collection for a few months.

I had somebody tell me they had a bp that was 3-5 lbs, and it turned out to be 370 grams... lol. If it is actually that size, it is more likely a female... but as others have said, no knowing for sure without probing. I would still consider a healthy breedable sized normal female to be worth 100-200$ honestly... but only if it is actually healthy and fit for breeding and female!

It could be one of the sub-saharan species that get bigger. If it is then it would be worth it.
