Do females retain sperm?
I've been browsing around the breeding forum and I've seen people mentioning breeding their females to more than one male in a breeding season. Are ball pythons like cats, in that they can retain sperm from many different males (and thus the clutch can have many different fathers)? Or is there a "lucky male" that fertilizes all her eggs, and all the other breeding attempts don't affect the outcome?

Clutches can have multiple sires, I see it all the time! From other breeders...not me since I haven't attempted breeding yet

Different males can fertalize different eggs in the same clutch but two males cannot fertilize the same egg

Man, that's interesting. I didn't know that a clutch could have multiple fathers.
I imagine that makes breeding much more interesting!
