Since you are going with the intention of buying a specific snake, I would suggest checking to see if the show has a website. If they do, there is normally a link to the list of vendors. You could try contacting some of the vendors in advance to see if they might have what you are looking for. Also, alot of shows offer VIP passes for the first day, which will allow you to get in earlier and browse for your potential new friend without all of the crowded commotion, and there is a better chance of you finding what you want.
