    DIY Rat Rack

Here's my whole DIY thread with pics and cut specs and prices near the end. I think it was total about $80 for a 6 bin rack. I built two of them and have the parts to build another once I'm done painting my houses exterior.

    Regards,

    B

Here's a few pics of my $60 racks that have been in service for 2+ years and no issues besides a few chewing asf's in the beginning, those went into glass tanks, lol.

For one of those large bin racks, how much is the total animal upkeep? Or at least for a 4 bin rack?

    Thanks

I could not agree with you more... I always say that one of the best things about keeping snakes was `discovering` rats.

Sweet, socialable and interesting animals. I loved keeping rats as a hobby (I stopped feeding live because of it).

Deathly allergic to the little rotters unfortunately, and after several ER visits for a comprised respitory system I had to abandom keeping them. My last two hairless passed about 8 months back.

Really nice looking colony you have and some very sweet looking babes. Love the diverscity of what one female can throw in a litter.

Thanks for the kind words Bruce! I think I might be allergic to them myself. I've had the worst summer of allergies since I started keeping them. I'm hoping the cooler weather helps a bit. At this point the only days I don't have some sinus congestion are the days where it is cool, humid, or raining.

    Regards,

    B
