I have over 100 snakes and they get names, not numbers, and yes, I know all their names.

I name specific morphs, or clutches, after language-region-ethnicities... i.e Hebrew, Hungarian, French Canadian etc.

My only suggestion is to NOT name that snake Monty.

I always like names that are short, only a syllable or 2, and have letters that look nice together. Like Skulk. or Ren. Just meaningless sounds sometimes haha.

I swear though, if I see one more person on Tumblr with a normal ball python named Nagini ...

I have a female pastel named Charlie which would work for a male too.

All my snakes have names as it is easier to refer to them as their names.

Also, guilty of having a Monty... But we also have

Cleo, Xander, Peaches, Oprah, Lestat, Akasha, Apep and can't forget about Maddy (Madrid after who won the World Cup).

We tend to name 'em by their pattern.

Got a really nice alien on it? E.T.

    Got a wave-like swoosh? Tsunami

A prominent dot on the neck? Dotty.

    etc.
