Well, think of it this way. If he's just a bumblebee and not a killer bee, and the other is just a pastel and not a super pastel, they both only have one pastel gene ("heterozygous"). That means each parent has a 50/50 chance of passing that gene onto an egg, and they could both fail that shot (normals). You'll get it!
