    First Shed

So my girl had her first shed with me today. It did not go well at all. I've read up on how to help them with a bad shed so I've taken all those steps. I'm just venting because I'm frustrated, especially with myself for not raising the humidity when i saw she was going into shed.

Ok so she still has old skin stuck on her. Should i be worried? I bathed her earlier today and I'm going to try again now. Anybody have any helpful tips?

it happens, don't worry about it too much.

as long as it doesn't stay stuck on her eyes or the tip of her tail for too long then its no big deal. It'll come off when it comes off. Bumping the humidity up now wouldn't hurt either.

It's been a few more days and theres still old skin stuck. I don't know what else to try. i spray the cage multiple times a day to up the humidity, and i bathe her everyday. Is it normal for old skin to stay on this long? I've run out of options and I'm really starting to worry.

Don't worry about it. Next time you give her a bath, let her soak for 15 minutes, then take a washcloth, wet it down, and grasp her firmly with the washcloth. Let her crawl through it, and the skin should come off easily. Just don't pull it off yourself, let her do it.

Aside from that, keeping the humidity up, and making sure she has some branch or something in the cage to rub on, you should be set. Stuck sheds happen to everyone, it's really no big deal.
