    Sometimes... Sharpies SHOULDN'T be permanent...

My thought while I began to clean the sharpie off the mirrior, my door, and the wall after my 2yr old niece got ahold of a sharpie...

No, I wasn't babysitting her, my sister came by with her kids (4 & 2) and was busy with one, when the other ran to my mom's office and in 2 minutes had all listed above marked with Sharpies...

This circumstance, and the time I found an industrial sharpie (the HUGE thick ones, about an inch in diameter) and decided to be a dalmatian when my dad took a nap and mom was at work and my siblings didn't care to stop me at 3 or 4
years old... Dad flipped when he saw me 5 minutes before my mom was supposed to be home and I had huge spots all over me

So anyone have any memorable instances they wished sharpies weren't permanent? Or were at least easier to get out?

LOL yeah, I have some memorable instances with sharpies...

Like when I traced out a golden eagle from an expensive book on birds of prey, not knowing that the ink would bleed through the paper and ruin the book when I was about 4...

Or when I colored my hands black and left permanent hand prints all over the old wallpaper in the basement when I was 3...

Yeah, Sharpies and me have an interesting past.

Did that with the most stubborn mark... and I mess with Sharpies all the time... Always like to have a sharpie in my purse or pocket... just in case...

I was so excited when I got a multi color pack for school last year(like 30 different colored sharpies )

BTW- Nail polish remover works just as well... but, you probably knew that... I had to get rid of a doodle on my hand ASAP before my mom saw (she HATES people writing on themselves)

And on surfaces, the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work well, but be warned - if you use it on a wall, it will remove some of the paint too.

...Just because of that, I ran and checked the wall... oops! The landlord DID say we needed to paint sometime soon though...

If you don't want permanent markers, don't buy sharpies.

I love the things, but they actually aren't even slightly permanent on my skin. I can lick it and wipe it clean. Shrug.

I have been known to hand large sharpies to children. Parents usually avoid me and say things like "No just because SHE does it, you may not do it too!" to their children.

Ahhhhh.... keeping kids away from me in inventive ways. Fun.
