    I would agree that there's some inferior quality yb's that don't possess the bright yellow that a quality yellowbelly belly displays.
    The write-up I posted above mentions that the name refers to the sides of the belly, not the belly itself. Though, of course most YBs do have actual yellow bellies. Just what I read, clearly I'm no expert, I don't even own one yet.
