    when I bred mine I would like to keep them cooler, I kept them in my finished basement which stayed at 74deg year round and I had great results. Gargoyles can take higher temps easier then cresteds esp. breeding females. Mine would have a hot spot of 85 when I was breeding them. They still can't take prolonged periods of high heat, but I think they would do better with it then cresteds. May be another option you can look into
