Smile Out with the old and in with the new

I bought a complete new setup for the uromastyx lizard I got from craigslist. I feel much better about his new setup.

    Old setup:

Not sure on the dimensions of the tank, but it seemed way to small to me.

    New setup:

He's now in a 30gal breeder and has a heat lamp that also puts off UVA/UVB.

    The happy little lizard:

Feedback is always welcome on the setup, but I'm a little on the broke side now (total cost for everything plus calcium powered was $203) so it might take me a little while to get around to changing it.

Re: Out with the old and in with the new

much better than before that old tank looked like a 20gal tank. the 30 gallon is better but I wouldn't house an adult in anything smaller that a 40 preferably a 55. but still looking good. I just got my little hatchling a few weeks ago and have it in a 40, but will be moving to a 55 when it gets a bit bigger. They are very active lizards and benefit from lots of floor space.

I actually traded him with my local reptile store for a female pastel ball python. I'm sure the person who got him has him in a better setup. When I re-did his setup I was on a budget that I still went over, but he really needed a better home and proper heat.
