what you need is a thermostat. talk to matt, aka justcage. he can hook you up and talk you through whatever you need help with in that department. disturbing how far off the analog thermometers are isn't it?

In the mean time, you can go to home depot and get a "lamp dimmer" for around $10 so that your animal will have some type of acceptable heat while you wait for your thermostat to be delivered.

They are in the lighting department and look like a white extension cord.

we understand that you have a digital thermoMETER. we are telling you to get a thermoSTAT, which you hook directly to the uth to regulate the temperatures.

you could get a dimmer like adam mentioned, but not the thermostat. cheap thermostats can be found at petsmart or petco, but they really are no good. they can hold you over while you save for a herpstat or a ranco or something like that, which you can order online. justcage (matt graybeal) sells several models of thermostats and robert coombs sells the herpstat.
