    Hello,

For starters, I hope you've learned your lesson. You must keep Ball Pythons in a locking enclosure to prevent escaping.

Now that you've been lectured try this.

Put a smaller tank in the middle of the room with a heat pad under it. Drop the temperature of the room. You'r snake, if it's in the room, will find its way to the warm spot. Another think you can do, although messy, is to put rice all over the room, and in the morning see if you see any tracks. Another idea I've heard people doing is taking shopping bags and putting them all over the room, so you'll hear the crinkling as they move over the bags.

Look around your house under and near anything that radiates heat (such as TV's, computers, appliances)

    good luck!

He is most likely still in the room where he escaped. Check under and behind everything, no matter how small. I found an escapee behind the drawers in my desk once, and another was inside the foldout couch (as in, inside the backing!). Placing a heat pad (regulated) where he can get to it could attract him, also, and make sure to confine your other pets away from that room, so they don't find him first.

Search at night and early morning when he's most likely to be active. All the other advice given here is good. If he hasn't eaten recently some f/t prey left out might attract him.

I would try to keep the room he escaped from secure so that if he is still in there he can't get out. This will also keep him safe from the dogs and the cat. It can sometimes take a long time to find a missing BP. Start from the point of escape and search out from there. They usually don't go far and when they do, they tend to travel along the walls. Rice and flour are a waste of time. They're just going to be a giant mess you will need to clean up. BPs are not very active, so he will probably find a hiding place and stay there until he needs food/water. Try searching around dusk or at night if you can. If you search at night I would use a flash light to keep it as dark as possible. Sometimes you just need a little luck to find them, that's how I found mine when she went missing, so good luck! I hope you find him, please keep us updated.
