Re: New BP Owner in Toronto!

welcome to the fold there are plenty of enthusiats here in the city and as far as a good place for quality at a fair price the CRBE in september would be a great place to start. there will be most of the big breaders there. i would like to recemend you check out urban reptile there stuff is awsome and all the animals i've gotten from them are super feeders and lookers. just remember that unlike our lucky sisters and brothers in the south (USA) the average prices for things here are a fair bit higher so when you see the american prices listed on websites the canadain prices seem pretty high. And wow Muay Thai. you don't hear much about it here. it's my understanding that compittion in Muay Thai has been banned in canada for years due to a number of deaths during comps.

It's so exciting to have people from toronto on here too! And, no Muay Thai isn't banned here. There are however more rules. Most of the fights take place in the USA though, last one was in Florida.

    Welcome to the site Meaghan,

You will find lots of Canucks on the forum (I myself am a ex-pat square head in a strange and beautiful blue land). So even when looking for things local, you will find many people nearby that can offer advice.

I agree the expo in TO in September will be a nice one, vendors from both sides of N.America and some from overseas as well.

Great time/place to meet other hobbyists, see some great animals, and scope out supplies.

My name is Meaghan and I recently adopted my first BP. I'm so excited that I found this site is has been very useful to me during my setup period and now that I have brought the little guy home !!! I'm already addicted and planning on expanding my family! Of course I'm going to wait awhile while I learn and master the basics.
I'm from Toronto, and haven't seen any other people from my hometown so far. If you are from Toronto,ON (or anywhere else) feel free to add me as a friend! I would love to share and learn about reptile places in and around the GTA as I've been finding it quite difficult if you want quality and a good fair price!
A little about myself, I'm a working college student. Going to school for a Child&Youth Worker degree, I hope to eventually work in a Juvenile home while continuing my education to become a licensed Psychiatrist. During my free time I wont lie, mostly I hang around, read - stalk this forum and write. When I'm not too busy I love to go to the gym and train ( I used to do a lot of Muay Thai and am trying to get back into the groove of it in my spare time).
I've always loved animals, right now I have 2 kitties Pandora&Persephone they are hilariously challenged but I love them, AND of course my new 6 month old Orange Hypo/Ghost BP Rhaego.

I hope to be on this site more often, and although I am still new, feel free to ask me questions and add me as a contact!

    Cheers!
welcome, I am from the Hammer and work in Mississauga, close
