My "small" rats are between 80 and 120 grams. All of my snakes that are over 1000 grams get these, except my monster girl who is pushing 3600 grams. She get "mediums" that are between 150 and 180 grams. Do I think she could eat bigger, yes I do, but she maintains good condition with these, so why switch ?
When you order, don't base it on size description, go with weight. If he's been doing well on 100 grams of mice, find a rat just a bit smaller than that, because there is a big difference is swallowing 100 grams 25 at a time, and 100 grams all at once. I'd stick with 70 to 90 gram rats. Plenty big enough without going overboard.
