ac broke 85.5 cool side
oh and not to mention a water pipe broke in the bathroom next to my room and leaked onto my carpet and it smells like wet carpet crap in here.
i cant put her in a cooler non wet carpet smelling room as nooone here likes snakes and will have a pissy fit with their cliche comment "its just a snake".
with an 85.5 cool side there is no escaping the heat for her unless she curls up in her water bowl, and id believe bps frequent worse smelling places in the wild.
oh also this passed thursday night was feeding night.she knocked the mouse out of the hemostats and i couldnt find it til daylight.should i just wait til her next feeding day which would be uhh tomorrow night(5days),or wait til the ac gets fixed or what?
hmmmm.what would you do?

Feed on feeding day.
Turn any heating devices off.
Keep an eye on heat.
Change the water dish out with cold water every day.
You should be good as long as the heat doesn't get above 87, that's when I'd start to worry.

i heat my whole snakeroom to 80 and they do fine. just like the other poster said just turn off nay additional heat and make sure the ambient temps dont rise about 87-88. fresh water every day. if it does start to get hot you can place a cold pack wrapped in a towel in the enclosure. just remember that the cold pack will need to be replaced every so often.

86.4 now on the cool side and my house is at 88f.
ill do that stuff.
do you think getting a ziplock of cubed ice and letting it sit above the cool side and water dish would help?i also have a lil personal fan.i could imagine my room will reach 90 degrees tomorrow with it being summer here and my room is the hottest of all the rooms.
so feed her tomorrow even without her normal temps?

would a lil fan pointed towards the inside of the cool side be a bad idea?

Have you got those ice packs for coolers or lunch boxes in your freezer? One or two of those on top of the enclosure, covered with a towel, and swapped out shortly after it melts.
Or.. Freeze a few bottles of water and use them like this. A couple on top, a couple in freezer, swap when they get warm.

Yes it does suck. Our a/c went out the other day...thankfully it was a cooler day...only in the low/mid 90's... It was only a capacitor, so we lucked out...good luck with it...hope it doesn't cost you too much to fix!

seriously man it does suck.especially when this is the second time this summer.last time it was near $800 for an expensive part and labor.we believe it just needing freon as the ac is just blowing air not cool air.got a guy coming out within an hour or two.
thanks i hope its not expensive this time.
