Say hello to my liiiiitle friend....

So a few weeks ago my bf and I went to the white plaines show and I decided that I wanted a tarantula. Im afraid of spiders, but at the same time, find tarantulas facinating and gorgeous. So we got ourselves a book and started studying up.. and a few days ago picked up an A. Versicolor from our local reptile shop.

This guy is sooo small- Im almost afraid of handling him without worrying about squishing him. We took a couple of pics today of him- he moves so fast! Hopefully he will slow down a bit with more handling and I get over my slight fear ( I got a good start- holding him while the bf took the shots )

    enjoy!

Wow, he is beautiful! Congrats, I want one too but am a bit scared of them, so I can relate.

by the way I expected a more French title from you.... like "leeeeeetle friend" (unless that is Transylvanian or something?).

Congrats, and welcome to the world of tarantulas I love how tiny the avics start, it's soooooooo cute! I hope it calms down for you, they can tend to be a bit on the nervous side, but often times they aren't too bad.
