    Question Tangled!

Hi! I've seen plenty of posts with people showing off their set-ups! And I was hoping some of you would be willing not only to show your set-up but more importantly (for me) how everything is hooked up? Are your wires everywhere and a mess? Or do you have an ingenious way of organizing them? I'm currently having trouble "cleaning-up" my wires and would love to see what you more experienced members have come up with! Thanks!!! Post-Away

Well, on my DIY rack I spliced all the connections and connected them so they all ran on one plug (hard to explain...I can get pictures later) so the only wires I have are from the flexwatt, thermostat, and the probe, and I just use twisty ties (like the ones on loafs of bread?) and secure them to the rack. Like I said, I can post some pictures later

Ita not a single enclosure, but you can use electrical tape to keep the wires together or zip ties or even the twisty ties like from a loaf of bread as mencioned by Lgray23....

I've got multiple enclosures (seriously in need of a rack!) and yes, my wires are at the moment one huge rat's nest. I hate it :/ When I get my rack it'll be soooooo much nicer.

At work tight now so I can't post pics.

On my stackable enclosures I have all of my connections coming off of the right side and running into Automotive Wire Loom. I used a 1" loom and just run all of the wires through this and then use the adhesive pads that let you attach a zip-tie (sorry, can't remember what they are called) to them to keep the loom in place where I want it.

The only parts of the wires that you see are where the connectors attach to the heat tape.

Check out one-of your local electronic supply stores or automotive stores. The ones around here have lot's of different options for wire coverings.

If you aren't so concerened about "covering" the wires themselves just make sure that all yor wires are routed to a central location and have them tied neatly together.

Thank you all for your pictures! And for those of you who didn't have them on hand I hope to see them soon. So is it safe to assume it's easier to organize wires if you have a rack?
