It is possible. The breeder did purchase the 2 male siblings. I will have access to them in the future.

My pastel is 1000grams + and a year old.
He also has some white specs on his alien heads.

But um, well his head is turning white.
If you ever encounter this with your pastels,
    Hit me up.

    But I'd have to agree.
They do look like normal pastels.
Very nice pastels I'd pay good money for but,
    You never know,
A pastel dinker is not commonly heard of.
Enjoy your project and good luck.

    regards,

    Ernie.

Is it the pixelation coloration of the scales that your pointing out? That's normal for pastels. The dusting of the browned out scales mixed in with the still yellow/orange scales on top, white scales along the sides, brighter yellow scales along the outlines of the flames and alien heads, three eyed alien heads, a very pronounced "line" of separation between the lighter lower side coloration and the upper side coloration where it's always darker on a pastel.. Etc etc..

All these things are normal. Including random white spots like this..

And vanilla coloration with more white in areas such as this blonde pastel here..

Some have almost no blushing or flames at all such as this.. This dark pastel hatched a solid pink color with the black markings. It did not hatch early and it did absorb all the yolk. After her first shed she got darker and darker. Fat and healthy, she hit 1000 grams by 16 months of age. Before long she was solid dark orange. So much for hatching pink. Her siblings all stayed yellow.

Others are so blushed out that they may be mistaken for super pastels as babies.

The point is, pastels are one of the most variable morphs out there.

I say keep them and in a few years breed them and see. Worst case you have some adult pastels.
    Over 60...

They look like normal pastels to me. It is hard to capture what you see in person in a pic. if you feel there is something going on with them then hold back and breed to prove it out. No ones saying they are bad or that your crazy for thinking there something there not. They are just explaining how much pastels can differ.
This is one of our pastel girls and one of our favorites.

She was from a pastel to a normal breeding. No one believes us that's she's just a pastel. She's crazy yellow with jet black and crazy flames and blushing. Well we just bought her father.

He's a graziani pastel. He's really nothing special. The breeder we got him from said that all the babies he sired looked like our girl . So this just shows how different they can be. So if you see something special about them, then breed to prove it out. Good luck!

    Those are normal pastels.

But you've seemed to convinced yourself otherwise...
