Other things you take to a "Geek" level

Ok so I am curious what other hobbies or interests people on here have that they take to a “Geek” level. And by geek level I simply mean much further than most people would.

Example I like to build Home PCs and work on Computers....

    Self explanatory lol

Yes, that's my giant telescope. I LOVE astronomy. Nothing better than going out on a freezing cold winter night and lugging my telescope to a wide open field with my red lights and star/object maps. (sigh) I'm such a geek, but I wouldn't change for anyone Anyone who walks into my house says my living room looks like NASA headquarters lol.

No pics here on my work PC, but I'm a home theater/music enthusiast and I love decent quality sound/picture.

I spend a lot more on this stuff than my budget should allow; but you know how it is! Lol.

My OCD makes me VERY Geeky. Anything and everything I do has to be in MY order on MY timeline. I think I stress my wife and snakes more than myself

I used to say World of Warcraft but the last expac pretty much killed the game for me. 95% of my guild quit by the end of January.

I can't really say I am as in to anything right now.

    Archaeology!
I lugged my friends from Rome to Pompeii with me when we were backpacking, just so I could see this ancient city!

Completely overwhelmed with happiness about being in Pompeii!

Now, Classical Archaeology isn't my field. I'm in the much-more modest field of Pre-Contact archaeology (North American).
Although the findings are more modest, my heart still skips a beat when finding anything.
This is a pictograph from a canoe trip in Ontario, just recently! There were hundreds on a rock face, that you could only canoe up to!

My real passions, however, are hominids. I've found a professor to work on evolutionary research with.

My favourite hominid is Paranthropus boisei. I don't know why, there's just something that draws me towards him.

Reach for the stars, and if you don't grab them at least you'll fall on top of the world.

I also use to geek out on WoW. I really didn't like the last expansion either and quit WoW. Now, I am playing COD Black Ops...
