Hi,

I use them for temp holding snakes while I clean tubs etc.

The tops make it virtually impossible to keep in humidity or have ambient temps higher than room temp.

For species where that is of little importance they might be ok though.

Derek I was Thinking About putting House snakes in those... but if humidity is a problem.. maybe I'll pass... Damn i couldn't be worse than 10 gallon glass tank with screen top.. or it is ??

Hi,

Well if you work it out it actually has more open grate per volume unit.

It is also a lot harder to fix than the usual tinfoil method on a tank because the grating goes all the way around the shape of it.

I'm not saying it couldn't be done but, if it was me, I would be more likely to use them lidless in a rack system. And there are cheaper tubs to do that with.

i thinking about rack for Housies in future but i want have couple of them in enclosures I can watch them too... Thanks for advice.. and going for cage hunt now...
