I only have one for now until I get my pair soon but I agree 100%. I hold my boa A LOT more than all of my bp's combined. Plus my boa is not scared of rats.

Congrats! You'll love having her! I got my first boa in May and I am sooo happy with her. They are totally different from BPs. They are more personable and more 'in your face'. I love how my baby seeks out my face whenever I take her out - she's very inquisitive and social. Enjoy! She's very cute!

    Haha mine as well!

They're very clingy I feel in comparison to balls. And like she said very inquisitive. Just more of a personality I feel. Ever since I got my Boa, I haven't been able to put her down. I get sad when I feed her because I can't handle her whenever I want lol

    Good luck with yours!

Boas are NOT like ball pythons. We held our baby boa from day 1 with no adverse reactions. Boas actually seem to enjoy handling and they do not stress the same way a BP would. So long as you are calm and gentle and put her away if she does seem anxious, handle away! Start with maybe 10-15min the first night, but she should be just fine after that. (And of course wait your typical 48hrs after feeding). But seriously, they like it!
