You would have to breed a visual (actual) caramel to a 100% het pied. The babies would all be 100% het caramel and 50% possible het pied but they would all look like normals.
I try not to work with hets anymore so I'm not sure of prices unless I do some searching. A quick search of what they are going for on kingsnake.com would give you a rough estimate. Keep in mind that the top, well known breeders will always get a higher price because they can guarantee the genetics and often include picture ID .
okay sweet thanks guys. the local store has a new one up for like 80 bucks..... im wondering if they have any sort of paperwork for him... hummmmm.....
I wouldn't bet that snakes actually het. Not for only $80. Even a male 100% het caramel shouldn't be that low. Especially not at a shop. Unless it was wholesaled to them by a local breeder and they can put you in touch with that person to verify it.
yeah thats what im worried about.... i dont want to get scammed.. not accusing them or anything... but i want to get what i pay for... i need to talk to the manager of the store instead of the associate kid.. see if i can find out a bit more on this snake.. the kid told me the parents were a carmel and a pied.... so that tells us something.. for some reason i sometimes get this gut feeling that they dont know exactly what there talking about.. i was told to forget that store in another post but there the only good store close to me..
he is a hatchling as well if that would make a price difference..?
