I'm in Eastern Canada, pet laws here (especially in my province, Quebec) are very lax. We're actually one of the "puppy mill capitals of the world", because the government here is making it very difficult for the movements of the rest of the country to pass here, so our animal laws are still pretty outdated (animals here are considered property just the same as you would consider a piece of furniture property. In the rest of the country the laws are much more comprehensive).
Hopefully things here change, but hey. Can't hope for miracles all the time when you have two reigning governments in one province, one of which wants to separate from the country. It starts to seem like the QC "french" government does things just to spite the federal government sometimes...![]()
