    Berm question....

...how big is your Berm? I see online that some say they average 12' but, can reach 20'. I'm looking into picking up a beautiful albino female. Just looking for some real world answers. Not what Wikipedia or others say. Thanks for looking and replying if you decide to do so.

    Re: Berm question....

I don't have one personally, but when I was young my uncle had a 15 foot normal male.

Jake was super-gentle and loved being the center of attention (he was on display in my grandfather's pet store in his own big cage-tank thing). My uncle would let people hold him and take pictures, if I had a dollar for every time we had to fish that snake's tail out of someone's pants...

With females you're looking at anywhere from 14 to 18 foot, 16 being an acceptable average. And heavy.

My 4 year old male is 13 feet at the moment.

18'+ burms aren't an every day occurrence for sure, but I know I've seen a couple that broke the mark right here on BP.net.. I just can't find the threads!

Mumps' answer should do you fine.

A burm is going to be big. How big depends on the snake. Like humans, there's a lot of variability. If you get her, count on her being very large. She might not be, but you should be prepared for huge when you're getting a burm.

If you're talking about the burm I think you are, she's a great eater, and she's grown a foot in the last couple of months.
